A free-standing weather-proof docking station that can be adjusted in less than a minute to suit a wide variety of vehicle heights is the latest new introduction from Transdek UK.

The equipment consists of a heavy-duty steel frame supporting a deck with a pair of hydraulic arms at one end, which can be raised and lowered to suit vehicles with floor heights from 700mm to 1500mm above the ground. An extending tongue extends over tail lifts and provides a safe surface for moving goods in and out.

The deck is manufactured from heavy-duty chequer plate with an anti-slip coating and typically provides a three-metre x three-metre working area. The building end is designed by Transdek to match the exact height of each warehouse floor.

The docking station is fitted with a weather-proof canopy, which can be insulated for customers handling frozen food. Lighting is also included, as well as heavy-duty buffers for protection. The equipment can be supplied in static or mobile versions to suit different customers’ requirements.
