Transdek invests in expanding Doncaster production facilities

Date : Friday, 03 February 2012

Transdek UK has streamlined its manufacturing capability by consolidating production at its headquarters near Doncaster, which will improve operational efficiency to meet growing demand and target new business opportunities.

Established in 1997, the award winning company moved to brand new premises in Harworth, South Yorkshire, in 2010 and is now trebling the size of its facility to 120,000 sq ft. The move will also create significant employment opportunities in the local area.

“The expansion of our Harworth site continues our strategic business development plan to establish Transdek as the market leader in supplying high-quality loading solutions in the UK,” says Mark Adams, Managing Director at Transdek UK.

“This integration of our production capability further strengthens our operations and reinforces Transdek’s commitment to support customers not only with product quality, innovation and exceptional after sales support, but also with highly competitive pricing.”

With less outsourcing of component manufacture and subsequent supply chain requirements, the integration will further reduce the company’s carbon footprint and enhance its production efficiency.

Mark adds: “As well as providing cost effective, reliable solutions, customers are looking for suppliers that seek to minimise the environmental impact of products. We work closely with customers to ensure these needs are met.”

With a reputation for delivering innovative, cost effective solutions, Transdek’s modular product range includes its unique, award winning V2G (Vehicle-To-Ground) Loading System, which has seen strong demand from retailers, a comprehensive range of 4.5-tonne, 6.5-tonne and 20-tonne double deck lifts, mezzanine floor lifts and dock levelers.

All Transdek lifts are pre-built and factory tested prior to delivery, and are surface mounted ensuring equipment can be installed quickly and without the need for costly civil engineering works.
