Transdek takes its responsibilities to the wider environment seriously. We are working towards a more sustainable future not only for our business, but for the world as a whole.
Our whole company ethos is based on developing and promoting the means to increase transport efficiency and supply chain sustainability. Since Transdek's beginnings, we have worked to create systems that enable streamlined logistics processes and reduced carbon footprints.
We have also taken steps to "green up" our products, sourcing more components and manufacturing locally, and working to minimise the environmental impact of our own supply chain.
We are also very committed to our work and responsibilities within the local community. We regularly support local charities, communities and no-profit organisations through donations and sponsorships. We believe that our continued investment in local projects and charity events helps us to build a successful relationship with our local community.
Our company charity is ‘Focus on Young People’ which was formed in 1996 and has helped to support over 22,000 young people. The charity primarily works to support young people who apply for financial funding to support different enterprises and ventures and in doing so, tries to discourage anti-social behaviour.
Each year, Transdek sponsors the charities annual golf competitions. So far, with Transdek’s help, the charity has helped to raise over £2000 at each event which is given to the trust and redistributed to young people and their organisations.
Transdek are also proud sponsors of the Harworth village cricket team and Tesco charity fundraising events which take place throughout the year.
Transdek's Sustainability strategy is focused on the following key areas of the business:
