Romadek

RCM Stainless, manufacturers of stainless steel domestic boilers recently took on one of Transdek UK’s latest mobile loading docks to enable faster and safer loading at their Wakefield warehouse.

The Romadek HH1500 has a platform size of 2.4m x 1.75m and lifts up to 1.25 tonnes, enabling the loading of several boilers at a time. The boilers, each weighing up to 80kg and packed on its own small pallet, used to be loaded individually onto vehicles. The Romadek significantly reduces levels of manual handling involved in the operation.

Only a compact system would have been suitable for the job, due to the space restrictions in the warehouse. The Romadek was specified for this reason, as well as on grounds of health and safety.
