OUR COMPANY

Transdek UK, part of the Hörmann Group, provide a range of loading bay equipment that allows its’ customers to run their transport and logistics operation more efficiently generating cost-savings. Working with the UK’s most prestigious names in the supply chain industry, as part of our growth, we require a Design / Production Engineer to join our in-house team.

THE ROLE

Are you a Design / Production Engineer looking to progress and further your career in working with award winning, innovative products in the loading bay sector? Then we have the opportunity for you.

Working across both the Design and Production teams, the aim of the role will be to support the Design team in the creation of 2D site layouts along with 3D CAD to produce designs and production drawings for the manufacture of component parts and assemblies for a range of modular loading solutions and mezzanine goods lifts.

In parallel you will facilitate and aid the Production team in process improvements directly relating to improving time to market, maintaining product quality & improving production costs.

WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR US

  • Supporting Sales and Marketing operations
  • Preparing site plans for discussion with customer and other external stakeholders
  • Designing equipment in line with the company’s product range.
  • Preparation of Drawing packs & BOMs for production.
  • Supporting the production office in Process improvement related to maximising the benefits from our production equipment to improve production flow times and quality.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR?

A working knowledge and thorough understanding and application of Eurocodes or similar, applied to your already solid knowledge of engineering drawing principles including stress analysis of steel structures.

An understanding and good appreciation of Production processing methods, especially the function of flatbed laser machines and Press brakes.

The work will link in across many areas of the company and involve close links with the production factory on a day-to-day basis therefore a high level of effective communication, numeracy and IT skills are required along with your attention to detail skills are key to your success within this role.

Your ability to effectively communicate and collaborate across multi-functional disciplines from Sales to Shop Floor is required.

Experience with AutoDesk Inventor and AutoCAD Product Design Suite software is essential.  Knowledge of Vault and Windchill would be desirable.

WELDER

WELDER
 Harworth, Doncaster
 40 Hours per week – Monday to Friday

  Hourly rate depending on experience

The Role

  • MIG Welding / Fabrication of parts and assemblies from CAD/Technical drawings.  Weld classification to EN1090.
  • Cutting and preparation of large steel profiles.
  • Marking, positioning, and welding of steel parts.
  • Ability to decipher and accurately interpret CAD Technical drawings to enable you to manufacture product.

SALES ENGINEER

SALES ENGINEER
Home Working/Dedicated Office Day

40 Hours per week
Salary depending on experience

The Role

  • Carry out customer site meetings to understand their needs, ensuring all appointments are fulfilled in a timely manner.
  • Advising customers of the correct product selection to ensure we meet their requirements from both a specification perspective and programme point of view.
  • Be responsible for obtaining detailed surveys in a timely manner for all of the Transdek product range.
  • Ensure that any site documentation is accurately completed and processed in a timely manner.
  • Be responsible for the preparation of quotations, proposals and tenders to accurately reflect the customer’s needs. Compiling to the agreed pricing structures and managing the tender processes.
  • Ensure that the customer receives accurate feedback on any proposals and this is communicated verbally or written as requested.
  • Be responsible for recording of any quotations and communications within the company’s systems.
  • Establish effective relationships with customers and follow up against agreed contract deliverables to ensure the desired outcomes are being achieved.
  • Ensure there is a strong connection with the projects team to ensure the sales handover from start to finish runs smoothly.
  • Ability to liaise and work with all departments on an on going basis.
  • As and when required assist with pre-start and liaise with the relevant departments and customer representatives.
  • Be responsible at all times for adhering to the Company’s Health & Safety Policy and Quality Management System.
  • Carry out other duties, as requested.

Do you have?

  • Lift Industry/Industry specific experience or equivalent experience ie. loading bays, hydraulics.
  • Proven customer service experience.
  • Excellent verbal and non-verbal skill-set.
  • Full clean driving licence..
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Proficient with Word/Excel and software CRM packages.
  • Sales experience would be desirable.
  • Knowledge of working in construction would be desirable.
  • Electrical qualification.
  • HNC/HND Engineering based qualification.
  • Knowledge of SLA’s and contract management would be advantageous.

CNC Laser Operator

Harworth, Doncaster
Hourly rate: Depending on experience

The Role

  • Using the CNC machine
  • Operating industrial machinery, which can include a hydraulic press, grinder, borer or overhead crane
  • Fitting the right tools to active machines
  • Performing proper set-up and calibration procedures for all equipment and accessories
  • Setting tolerance levels and cutting speeds
  • Translates the requirements of detailed part drawings into measurements for production
  • Inspecting workflows to ensure that technical and quality standards are met
  • Devising a work plan to efficiently carry out daily machining
