5-pallet V2G yard lift and bespoke warehouse extension to boost production plant’s loading, storage and inspection capacity
Noble Foods is the leading supplier of farm fresh eggs to the UK’s major retailers, and is also the market leading supplier of egg products. Trading as Noble Egg Innovations, this division of the business makes 400 tonnes of egg products every week. Its Harrogate-based production facility is capable of processing more than one million eggs per day.
To manage an increase in inbound/outbound deliveries into its new production area at Harrogate, the company commissioned Transdek to design, build and install a bespoke warehouse extension and integrated V2G yard lift for the level-access site. The temperature-controlled build added a new inspection area, and twin sets of interlocked roller-shutter and high-speed doors.
The project was completed in five days, giving the extra warehousing and loading capability to meet Noble’s expansion plans. The structure was surface-mounted, clad and sealed to the main warehouse. The insulated 5-pallet V2G loadhouse, with rooflight panels and PIR/LUX sensors, allows fast, safe vehicle un/loading to ground level at the site.
