Transdek’s lift is an extremely well thought-out product that is easy to use, but also enforces safe process discipline through effective safety interlocks. A very good example of how innovative design enables safety to remain front of mind without restricting commercial imperatives.

Safety is a key focus of our continuous development programme. Which puts our product designs at the leading edge of loading bay health and safety.
Features on our products typically exceed legal safety standard requirements. Our recent safety innovations include: a bi-fold bridge plate*, which gives loaders safe access to reach and open vehicle doors after docking; a fully-enclosed, weather-proof 4-pallet yard lift; and safety rails along the sides of our bridge plates.
We were the first manufacturer to develop a mechanical auto-interlock for the material safety gates on our lift platforms, to integrate fixed emergency-egress ladders in our double deck lift pods and to include light-beam exclusion zones as standard on most of our equipment. Transdek is a member of ALEM, ISO 9001:2015-certified, SafeContractor-accredited, a Constructionline Gold member and CDMComply-certified.
All our installation engineers are in-house CMSE-trained, CSCS-certified, qualified to Level 2 NVQ in Specialist Installation Occupations (construction) – Loading Bay Equipment and, according to their specific role, IPAF PAL-trained. Our site managers and site supervisors are, respectively, SMSTS and SSSTS certified through CITB.
We have previously won the BITA/IMHX Design4Safety (Automation) Award, as well as the Queens Award for Enterprise: Innovation three times, in recognition of our investment in safety and continuous product development.
