Flexible vehicle-to-ground lift supports rapid expansion of online fulfilment operations
Speedpac is a leading specialist in third-party logistics and contract packing solutions, providing flexible warehousing and fulfilment services for high-volume operations from its Wellingborough facility.
Speedpac required a fast and cost-effective loading solution to support a new high-volume contract, without waiting for the completion of a permanent dock installation. The requirement was to efficiently load and unload double deck trailers and other vehicles directly from the warehouse floor, without the need for traditional dock levellers or extensive civil works.
Transdek supplied a 12-pallet, 5.3-tonne V2G lift, delivered on-site as a pre-assembled, fully enclosed modular pod. The lift was installed within an existing temporary structure, demonstrating the flexibility of the V2G system even in space-restricted or non-permanent environments.
The V2G lift was fully installed and operational within just three days, with minimal disruption to ongoing warehouse operations. Its large platform size enables articulated vehicles to be loaded in just a few cycles, significantly improving throughput.
The modular, surface-mounted design has provided Speedpac with an immediate and scalable loading solution, supporting complex vehicle movements six days a week and delivering enhanced operational flexibility ahead of the site’s permanent dock expansion.
